Tailored to the age group, our instructors focus on building a strong foundation in technique, coordination, and body awareness. Additionally, these classes promote teamwork, self-confidence, and a healthy lifestyle, creating a positive and supportive community where teenagers can thrive both personally and socially.
Advancing intermediate Acro students, This class builds upon skills learned in levels I & II while focusing on increased flexibility, strength, and consistency of proper skill execution. Skills learned include: independent front and back walkovers, round-offs, independent handstands, handsprings and more.
LEVEL 3 (TEEN/HS)
Our advanced Teen/High School ballet class immerses dancers in a realm of extraordinary artistry and technical prowess. The class commences with a rigorous warm-up, pushing the boundaries of flexibility, strength, and precision. Guided by a seasoned instructor, dancers engage in intricate and demanding barre exercises, seamlessly intertwining intricate combinations of pliés, développés, and intricate footwork.
Students delve into intricate variations of pirouettes, fouettés, and gravity-defying leaps. This class challenges dancers to reach new heights of technical excellence, while delving into profound artistry. The intricate choreographic sequences demand impeccable timing, emotional depth, and an innate connection to the music, empowering dancers to convey a compelling narrative through their movements.
Structured for older and more advanced students, contemporary dance encourages dancers to be versatile in their expressions, being able to portray a wide array of movement styles and emotion. It focuses on spacial and body awareness, use of body weight, floor work, leaps, turns, efficiency of muscle usage, and safe body alignment.
Throughout the class, students will delve into the fundamental elements of jazz dance, including isolations, syncopation, fluidity, and dynamic body movements. From classic jazz steps to contemporary variations, dancers will explore a wide range of styles that showcase the evolution of this genre.
The class curriculum is carefully crafted to cater to varying skill levels, making it suitable for both beginners and those with some dance experience. Dancers will engage in a variety of exercises that focus on building strength, flexibility, and proper technique, all while developing a strong sense of rhythm and musicality.
Using ballet fundamentals, students will learn how to interpret the lyrics of different music to create beautiful pieces of choreography that tell a story.
Musical Theatre class will focus on learning proper dance technique while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Emphasis will also be placed on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and facial expressions.
Our Company Team is made up of the best and the brightest of our older students. They practice over 3 hours per week, and compete in 2-3 dance competitions each year.
Tap dance is not just about mastering steps—it's about infusing them with personal style and creativity. Our class encourages students to add their own flair to the routines, fostering a sense of ownership and confidence in their dancing.
